National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW), coordinated by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), is a week-long health observance highlighting the science-based facts about how drugs and alcohol affect the brain and body. Community Anti-drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) is encouraging all substance use and misuse prevention professionals to plan educational activities for youth in recognition of NDAFW. As a member of CADCA, Johnny’s Ambassadors is offering a FREE fundraising event FOR TEENS (parents and concerned adults are also welcomed to join) to help them understand the harms of marijuana on brain development, mental health, and suicidal ideation.
