“ContrADDICTION” looks at the physical, mental, and emotional impact of youth addiction. Years of examining peer-reviewed journals and research has been distilled into this webinar and presented in an interesting and engaging way. Viewers will walk away understanding why young people get addicted to substances and behaviors more quickly than adults, why young people do dangerous things (and why that isn’t a bad thing), and the system by which addiction happens in the brain. Our brains are primmed for addiction, and knowing the causes, signs, and mechanism behind addiction gives clarity to the confusion that many people have around addiction.

Ray’s education at Teen Challenge Ministry Institute, followed by his certification for Drug and Alcohol Counselor for the state of California along with awards for stand-up comedy have uniquely prepared him for his work with youth. His best accolades come from the thousands of students and administrators he has trained over the last 30 years from across the nation and internationally who rave about his drug information presentations.
