According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), suicide is the #1 cause of death in Colorado teens ages 15-18. And did you know the #1 substance found in their toxicology reports is THC? Most people don’t realize this association.

After 19-year-old Johnny Stack died by suicide in 2019 after becoming psychotic from dabbing and vaping high-potency THC concentrates, his mother, Laura Stack, formed the nonprofit Johnny’s Ambassadors Youth Marijuana Prevention, with a mission to educate parents, teens, and communities about the dangers of today’s high-THC marijuana on adolescent brain development, psychosis, and suicide. Now, over 10,000 Johnny’s Ambassadors around the U.S. help educate parents, teens, and communities about the dangers of youth marijuana use.

Please help Johnny’s Ambassadors raise funds to keep our operations going another year! Thanks to Ryan Powell at Overpass Productions, we will be livestreaming our walk from Colorado around the U.S. starting at 2:00 mountain on Sunday, Sept. 10. If you live in Colorado, please join us at Central Park in Highlands Ranch for the in-person event. You can also form your own team, or host the livestream at your home or school.
