Edible cannabis has caused more problems, overdoses, and hospitalizations in adolescents than smoking cannabis. It is more easily accessible and more attractive as cakes, cookies, gummies, and chocolates. The differences between the effects of THC after smoking or eating will be discussed and how edibles have evolved from the less harmful “Alice B. Toklas Hash Brownies” of the 1960s to the high-potency, dangerous edibles sold today.
