Week 5 answers to “What is the difference between THC and CBD?”:
Both marijuana and hemp are species of the genus Cannabis, a term used in scientific classification for either one or three species of plants originally from Asia. C. sativa is the most common. While some scholars also recognize two other species, C. indica and C. ruderalis, many other scholars consider them subspecies of sativa, in the same sense that all dogs are a subspecies of timber wolves (no fooling).
